• The chompSMS Security Pattern Lock has been enhanced further to also prevent users from opening the built in Messaging application - so MORE security from prying eyes!

Version 1.17

Notifications are working really well now! All known problems with them have been fixed.

• Fixed: make sure the LED doesn't stop blinking when e.g. a message is marked as read.
• Fixed: only mark the messages in a conversation as read if the conversation is visible.
• Fixed: after a message has been sent, the bubbles scrolls up far enough so you can see the message just sent.

Version 1.15

The previous version had a lot of internal stuff changed, and as a result some things were broken :-(

• Partial implementation of background sending, such that at least during the sending process, you can press back and continue while the message is sending.
• SMS messages are no longer Unicode encoded if the text message contains special characters for USA recipient numbers. This is due to issues with USA carriers not delivering Unicode encoded messages. In effect, we now use the default Android encoding, which means at least SMS messages are delivered, however special characters can appear as square blobs on the recipients phone (just like they would if you used the Android Messaging application).
